The Arizona Coyotes announced today that they had recalled Niklas Treutle from the Springfield Falcons, the team's AHL affiliate. The move comes after an injury to Anders Lindback yesterday prior to Arizona's game against Montreal.
Treutle was signed by the Coyotes last summer after it appeared that Louis Domingue would pursue opportunities in Europe instead of in the Coyotes system. But Domingue came back, and that left Arizona with a minor league rotation of Treutle, Domingue, and Marek Langhamer.
