The Arizona Coyotes have made yet another move in the saga of musical chairs surrounding their goaltending situation.
Marek Langhamer has been recalled from the Springfield Falcons to backup goaltender Louis Domingue.
Niklas Treutle, the Arizona Coyotes’ starting goaltender in the team’s 5-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night, has been sent back to Springfield.
The move is not a huge surprise after Dave Tippett’s comments post game about Treutle’s play and readiness for the NHL.
Here is the Coyotes’ press release regarding the moves:
Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled goalie Marek Langhamer and assigned goalie Niklas Treutle to the Springfield Falcons, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
