The Arizona Coyotes have today announced the defensive prospect Ty Emberson has been signed to an entry-level contract.
The 20-year-old was a third-round (73rd overall) selection by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2018 Draft, having progressed through the various age groups in the US National Development System.
After being drafted by then-Coyotes general manager John Chayka, Emberson took his talents to the University of Wisconsin, where he has been developing into a promising two-way (defensive leaning) defenseman over the past three seasons.
The Eau Claire, Wisconsin native has registered 34 total points (nine goals, 25 assists) in 101 NCAA games, helping guide the Badgers to the Big-10 regular-season championship this year, having been named as the team’s primary captain.
