TORONTO – A return to Toronto so soon after the trade enabled Coyotes center Peter Holland to pack up his condo and have dinner with his parents, which he did during a day off Wednesday.
It also meant facing his former team at Air Canada Centre Thursday after a unique divorce less than a week earlier.
“It was kind of crazy, obviously, to be back this quick,” Holland said. “But it’s kind of nice to get it over with.”
Before getting shipped to the Coyotes last Friday for a 2018 conditional sixth-round pick, Holland logged 174 games for the hometown Maple Leafs.
