It was Head Coach Dave Tippett's 1,000th career game. It was the first game after a week to rest and recuperate. It didn't matter. The Arizona Coyotes were the same team that they were before the All-Star Break.
The Coyotes gave up three power play goals en route to an ugly 6-2 loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night at Gila River Arena. The loss was the second time in the last two games that the Coyotes conceded five goals or more.
