At this time of year, trade rumors begin to run rampant.
Especially with the Coyotes, a team that has become familiar with the basement of the Western Conference standings, rumors and reports of veteran players being on the trade market seems to be an annual affair in the early winter months.
However, contrary to recent reports, there seems to be no indication that the Coyotes are actively seeking to trade key players such as defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reported on Sunday that there were several teams engaging with the Coyotes in trade talks specifically for Ekman-Larsson, who will be headed to his second career All-Star Game later this month.
