Coyotes center Martin Hanzal and defenseman Zbynek Michalek skated in their first training-camp practice Thursday, but the two certainly didn’t look like they were behind the pace of play.
Actually, they’re probably ready for regular-season action to start immediately after starring in the World Cup of Hockey with the Czech Republic.
“I feel great right now,” Hanzal said. “I played already six games against the best players in the world, and I played over 20 minutes every game. So I feel really strong and really good right now and probably the best shape of my life.”
Hanzal and Michalek reported for camp after skating in three round-robin games (1-1-1) and three pre-tournament contests.
