On a night the Coyotes were celebrating Halloween at Gila River Arena — encouraging fans in attendance to wear costumes to the game — some old ghosts came knocking for former Coyotes backup goaltender Louis Domingue.
Playing in his first game back in Glendale since being traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning last November, Domingue was attacked with an onslaught of early goals in a performance that seemed eerily similar to some of his sub-par outings in a Coyotes sweater.
The Coyotes (5-5-0) scored three goals on their first five shots and took an early lead over Domingue and the Lightning that they would not relinquish, cruising to a 7-1 win over Tampa Bay (7-2-1) on Saturday at Gila River Arena.
