Scott Wedgewood knew what he was doing when he made a crucial save for the Arizona Coyotes.
With 13:41 left in the third period and the Coyotes trailing by one goal, Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy’s initial shot deflected off Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun and slid over to an open Erik Haula with the windup. But once the puck found its way to Wedgewood, he made a windmill save as he fell over.
All that flash turned out to be for added effect.
