Count Carter Hutton as one of the many Arizona Coyotes veterans new to the team with something to prove this season.
He’s poised to be the No. 1 goaltender this season after signing a one-year contract with the Coyotes in the offseason. It’s a position of high turnover for Arizona, with all three goalies from last season and before — Darcy Kuemper, Antti Raanta and Adin Hill — having moved on to other NHL teams.
Hutton, 35, is one of six goaltenders in training camp, but by far is the most experienced. He spent last season in Buffalo, but only appeared in 13 games due to a lower body injury that cut short his season.
