Free agency is upon the Arizona Coyotes and the NHL, and Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong can at long last get to some roster-related work.
Armstrong, who couldn't lead the Coyotes' draft efforts Tuesday and Wednesday, spent Thursday meeting with his staff to determine how the club will approach free agency, his first as general manager in the NHL. The signing period officially begins at 9 a.m. Friday.
He said he’s excited to get going with a staff he’s put together over the last couple of weeks, even if this offseason's free agency will be unique with the ongoing pandemic.
