The Arizona Coyotes are in Las Vegas for Monday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights and are without their injured captain, defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who will miss three to four weeks, the team confirmed Monday.
Ekman-Larsson was placed on injured reserve Sunday with a lower body injury sustained against the San Jose Sharks in Saturday's 5-3 Coyotes win. He had three assists, so Ekman-Larsson's all-around play will certainly be missed.
If the three-to-four-week timeline stands, Ekman-Larsson isn't likely to return before early next month.
"You pencil him in every night for 20-plus (minutes). He's a power play guy, he's a penalty kill guy.
