Cory Stillman has been an NHL player, Stanley Cup winner, team executive and junior level head coach, all of which were reasons the Arizona Coyotes hired him to be one of head coach Rick Tocchet's assistant coaches.
The Coyotes made official the addition of Stillman to the coaching staff on Tuesday. Stillman, 46, joins Phil Housley, goaltending coach Corey Schwab and head video coordinator Hunter Cherni on Tocchet's staff after stepping down as head coach of the Ontario Hockey League's Sudbury Wolves.
Stillman said communication and building relationships with players will be where he can make a big impact, as someone who has played in meaningful games and been around hockey for a long time.
