The Arizona Coyotes will not keep their 3rd overall pick with the parent club this season.
The Arizona Coyotes announced earlier today that Dylan Strome, Matthias Plachta, and Louis Domingue would not remain with the Coyotes for the season opener on October 9th in Los Angeles. With those three cuts, the Opening Night roster is set.
Domingue and Plachta will be re-assigned to AHL Springfield, and can be called-up by the Coyotes later on in the year with no consequences. Strome returns to his OHL team - the Erie Otters - and cannot be brought back up without burning a year of his entry-level deal.
