SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Coyotes started to spiral out of playoff contention months ago, but they’ve had no problem keeping pace with one of the teams who may be equipped to win it all.
Arizona improved to 3-0-1 against San Jose with a 3-2 shootout win Saturday at SAP Center – perhaps the most entertaining and engaging clash so far between the Pacific Division’s top seed and its basement dweller, a gap of 29 points.
“You got no choice (but) to play,” winger Ryan White said. “You don’t play hard against these guys, it’s going to be an ugly night.
