For Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet, the team’s final 27 games of the season will be their equivalent of the playoffs.
And, starting with the Coyotes’ seven-game homestand that began Thursday, he said he planned to hold his players accountable for the final eight-plus weeks of the 2017-18 season.
Recently, Tocchet said, there have been improved efforts from his players in recent games at Gila River Arena. He stressed the importance of continuing that momentum after Monday’s 6-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
"It’s just nice because I don’t think we’ve played as well at home as we have on the road," Tocchet said.
