In much more normal times for life and sports, head coach Rick Tocchet would be guiding the Arizona Coyotes through late September training camp, with regular season games right around the corner.
But as of Tuesday, a day after the Stanley Cup Final ended in the bubble with the Tampa Bay Lightning winning it all, there has yet to be clarity on when the next NHL season will start.
That will come sooner than later. For now, Tocchet has met with new general manager Bill Armstrong, with more talks to come as they begin to forge their relationship and evaluate the Coyotes’ current roster.
