Alex Galchenyuk played just one season in the Valley before being traded in 2019. But the area felt like home from the first time he arrived, and on Wednesday, Galchenyuk could revel in knowing he'll start the season with the Arizona Coyotes for his second career stint with the team.
The 27-year-old forward signed a one-year NHL contract, thus ending his time with the Coyotes on a professional tryout and starting anew as a player on salary.
The contract means Galchenyuk is in line to open the regular season next week on the Coyotes' roster.
"It means everything to me.
