The Coyotes rebounded from a poor effort on Tuesday and defeated the Chicago Blackhawks by a 5-2 score on Thursday at Gila River Arena.
Michael Grabner, Clayton Keller and Brad Richardson all scored even-strength goals in the first period.
On the first goal, Grabner took a lead pass from Richardson and got behind the Chicago defense for a golden opportunity. Grabner beat Blackhawks goaltender Robin Lehner with a backhand shot at 2:56 of the fist period.
Keller scored less than three minutes later when he received a feed from defenseman Jordan Oesterle and snuck a puck through the legs of Lehner for a 2-0 lead.
