Christian Dvorak scored twice and potted the shootout winner in a 4-3 win for the Coyotes over the Ducks on Wednesday at Gila River Arena.
Dvorak scored his first when captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson unleashed a slap shot on the power play that Dvorak was able to tip past Ducks goaltender John Gibson for the game's first goal at 3:02 of the first period.
The Ducks made it a 1-1 game when a shot from defenseman Brendan Guhle ricocheted off the knee of Coyotes defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin and past goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
But 12 minutes after Guhle's goal, Dvorak potted his second after a shot attempt from linemate Derek Stepan settled in front for Dvorak to deposit into the net with a backhander.
