As time goes on there will certainly be reports that come out regarding other leagues and players affected. I am obviously not a medical expert by any means, but after soaking up the information via TV, internet and other outlets, it seems that the virus thrives in close quarters where people are all bunched together, for example, an NHL hockey game. At this time the NHL clearly believes as do many others including professional medical and health experts, that shutting down collegiate and professional sporting events for the foreseeable future where hundreds, if not thousands of fans gather, is the correct move in protecting its players and fans alike.
