Barely halfway through the season, the Coyotes have plenty of work remaining to solidify a playoff spot.
But they continue to add reinforcements to help their pursuit.
After picking defenseman Kevin Connauton off waivers from the Blue Jackets Wednesday, the Coyotes acquired defenseman Jarred Tinordi and minor-league winger Stefan Fournier from the Canadiens on Friday in a three-team swap.
The Coyotes traded defenseman Stefan Elliott to the Predators in exchange for defenseman Victor Bartley and then sent Bartley and winger John Scott to the Canadiens to receive Tinordi and Fournier.
“Right now we look at our blue line, and we have good depth there,” General Manager Don Maloney said.
