The Coyotes made it official Thursday morning, announcing André Tourigny as their new head coach.
Tourigny received a three-year contract with terms not disclosed. He was scheduled to be introduced at a news conference at Gila River Arena later Thursday morning.
Tourigny, most recently an assistant coach with Team Canada at the International Ice Hockey Federation world championship in Riga, Latvia and both vice president of hockey operations and head coach of the Ottawa 67s of Canada's Ontario Hockey League, is the 19th head coach in Coyotes history. He follows Rick Tocchet, with whom the club mutually parted ways in May at the end of the 2021 season, after four seasons at the helm.
