Alex Burmistrov has not had the typical career you’d expect from a Top Ten pick.
He was drafted eighth overall by the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets in 2010, and was immediately thrust into the line up at 19 for the whole season. In his rookie year he had 20 points, 6 goals and 14 assists. The next year, when the team was moved to Winnipeg, he set career high in points with 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points.
During the lockout Burmistrov was assigned to the AHL and his numbers took a hit, playing 22 games and only having 2 goals and 9 assists for 11 points.
