William Karlsson's goal with 42.7 seconds to play gave the Vegas Golden Knights a 1-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes Sunday afternoon, though it came with some controversy.
The Coyotes, in a game in which they were outshot, out-hit and for the most part, outplayed, were still less than a minute from forcing overtime and earning at least a point. But what replays showed appeared to be a possible icing call on the Golden Knights' Alex Tuch wasn't whistled, and the pass from Tuch was the secondary assist on Karlsson's goal.
Tuch looked to be just outside the red line when he dumped the puck in behind the Coyotes net, though it wasn't by much.
