The 2018 NFL Draft is complete and the Arizona Cardinals have landed a few coveted undrafted free agents. NFL teams start trying to sign these UDFAs the second the draft ends but most moves became official this week.
While most UDFAs end up being little more than camp bodies, there are players that make the 53-man roster each season. The prospects all went undrafted for a reason, but they all have the potential to make it in the NFL in some role. And sometimes, teams strike gold with an Arian Foster or Tony Romo.
We have every player the Cardinals have signed below.
Elijah Battle, CB, West Virginia
Alec Bloom, TE, UConn
Dennis Gardeck, LB, Sioux Falls
Frank Ginda, LB, San Jose State
Will House, OL, Southern Nazarene
A.J. Howard, S, Appalachian State
Alec James, DE, Wisconsin
Chad Kanoff, QB, Princeton
Matt McCrane, K, Kansas State
Mike Needham, LB, Southern Utah
Deatrick Nichols, CB, USF
Owen Obasuyi, DT, Hampton
Austin Olsen, OT, SIU
Matthew Oplinger, LB, Yale
Jonathan Owens, S, Missouri Western
Austin Ramesh, FB, Wisconsin
Trent Sherfield, WR, Vanderbilt
Tavierre Thomas, CB, Ferris State
Jalen Tolliver, WR, Arkansas at Monticello
Jonah Trinnaman, WR, BYU
Zeke Turner, S, Washington
Andrew Vollert, TE, Weber State
Brant Weiss, OL, Toledo
Corey Willis, WR, Central Michigan
It's a large group for the Cardinals, who are looking to fill some holes to fill on the roster.
Perhaps the most notable player on the list is USF cornerback Deatrick Nichols, who is an undersized cornerback but is extremely competitive, quick, and has good ball skills. Considering how the Cardinals need help at the position, he has a solid chance to make the roster.
Another name worth watching is Kansas State kicker Matt McCrane, who will provide a competition for the kicking job in camp.
