It’s been eight years since Matt Prater kicked the longest field goal in NFL history, a 64-yarder for the Broncos. But now that he’s been reunited in Arizona with his special teams coach and the long snapper from that historic moment, Prater sees no reason why he can’t do it again with the Cardinals.
Even at 36 years old, he still has amazing range. The NFL record-holder for most field goals made from 50 yards or longer with 59, Prater kicked six field goals from 50-plus yards last season for the Lions, including a 59-yarder as time expired to beat Washington.
