As many of his teammates can attest, the hand injury wideout Michael Floyd suffered at training camp on Wednesday was not pretty.
Coach Bruce Arians confirmed three of Floyd’s fingers were dislocated when his hand bent back after it landed on the ball as he dove for a pass during 1-on-1 drills. Floyd sent a photo of the injury to some of the Cardinals before a cast covered it up.
“Unfortunately, some of us have seen it,” wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said. “It’s one of those things you wish you hadn’t seen.”
While his teammates could have done without the image, there is optimism they won’t have to be without last year’s leading receiver for as long as originally thought.
