Karlos Dansby is a Cardinal, again.
Once, the linebacker was a second-round draft pick who developed into a twice-franchised-tagged star. The second time he was humbled on the open market, returning for a single season – arguably his best as a pro – to once again earn big dollars as a free agent.
Now, with Dansby ostensibly near the end of his career, he returned Friday for a third time to Arizona on a one-year contract and once again, figures to anchor the middle of the defense even as he turns 36 during the season.
With Kevin Minter and Sio Moore both free agents, Dansby arrives as the probable inside linebacker playing next to Deone Bucannon in a revamped defense.
