When Patrick Peterson talks about hating to have his name attached to performance-enhancing drugs upon failing a drug test and having to serve a six-game suspension to start the season, fellow Cardinals cornerback Tramaine Brock Sr. can relate – in a way.
Unlike Peterson, Brock hasn’t been to a Pro Bowl (Peterson’s been to eight), he’s never earned All-Pro honors (Peterson has three to his credit) and he isn’t mentioned as a likely future member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But legacy and respectability matter greatly to Brock, just as it does to Peterson, and having an asterisk follow your career is never pleasant.
