As the Cardinals began their work Friday paring down their roster to an eventual 53 players, they traded one away.
The team flipped offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom, who would have been released, to the Baltimore Ravens for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2018.
The Cardinals met Friday morning to watch video of Thursday night’s preseason loss in Denver and also to talk about the season. The team began cutting players – as of Thursday night, they had 89 on the roster.
Bergstrom was signed as a free agent in the spring, working at both guard and center.
