NFL teams had until Saturday to get down to the 53-man roster limit and the Cardinals got there by making more than two dozen moves, which included releasing tight end Ricky Seals-Jones and waiving injured cornerback Brandon Williams.
Seals-Jones was viewed as the team’s best pass-catching tight end, but the additions of veterans Charles Clay and Maxx Williams made it tougher for the third-year pro from Texas A&M to make the squad. Waiving Williams, who missed time with back and shoulder issues, means the Cardinals have no players remaining from their 2016 draft.
