The Cardinals worked out and plan to sign veteran nose tackle Domata Peko to bolster their defensive line, which has been beset by a series of injuries.
Peko, 35, will join the team’s 53-man active roster once he clears all COVID-19 protocols, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Peko, a 15-year veteran who spent his first 11 seasons with the Bengals, is expected to begin practicing with the team next week.
The Cardinals have been thin at defensive tackle. During last Sunday’s victory over the Bills, they lost veteran Corey Peters to a season-ending torn patella tendon.
