Before Sunday’s game against the Jets, a member of the Cardinals media relations department pulled backup running back Chase Edmonds aside, pointed to the post-game interview room, and told Edmonds to plan on going there after the game to answer questions via Zoom with Arizona reporters.
It was a decision based on geography and history, not premonition.
Edmonds played at Fordham University in the Bronx, 23 miles from East Rutherford, N.J. And the best game of his career came last season at MetLife when he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over the Giants.
