Upon being officially removed from the Exempt/Commissioner Permission List, which is a fancy way of saying he’s done serving his two-game suspension, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey bounded into the team’s locker room on Wednesday morning with a huge smile and an even bigger appetite to hit the practice field.
“I feel like this is the beginning of the year,” Pouncey told reporters. “I have a lot of energy.”
As happy as head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are about getting one of their captains and inspirational leaders back into the fold, the last thing they want things to feel like is the beginning of the year.
