Terry McDonough, Cardinals vice president of player personnel, is expected to have a second interview with the 49ers on Saturday for their general manager’s job, according to an NFL source.
The interview likely will be in Atlanta and could include meeting with Falcons’ offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers’ presumptive choice for head coach.
McDonough and Minnesota assistant general manager George Paton are the two remaining general manager candidates of the nine the 49ers interviewed.
McDonough has spent four years with the Cardinals, including the last three overseeing college and pro personnel departments. He also assists with player contract negotiations.
