Running back Kenyan Drake has apparently taken himself off the NFL free-agent market and agreed to sign his one-year tender offer from the Cardinals. The decision means Drake will be back in Arizona for at least one more season and get paid $8.483 million.
Drake’s representatives, SportsTrust Advisors, leaked the news via Twitter on Saturday morning.
Drake added to the announcement via his own Twitter account, writing, “We’re up to something … ”
On Monday, the Cardinals placed the transition tag on Drake, who led the team in rushing last season with 643 yards – an average of 5.
