When Marco Wilson and Tay Gowan step onto the practice fields on Friday for the start of a three-day, rookie mini-camp at the Cardinals’ Tempe training facility, the hope is that the two young cornerbacks will end up staying for at least the next decade.
If General Manager Steve Keim is correct and the Cardinals truly found a pair of draft steals in Wilson, a fourth-round pick from Florida, and Gowan, a sixth-round selection out of Central Florida, maybe that will, indeed, be the case.
“I feel like we’re just two guys who are super athletic and we’re also very young and we have a lot of room to grow,” Wilson said Thursday during a video conference call with reporters.
