Cardinals defensive line coach Brentson Buckner believes first-round pick Robert Nkemdiche will help the Cardinals in at least two ways.
First, Nkemdiche is young, powerful and can play every position on the defensive line. Second, his addition creates added competition among the defensive linemen.
“He’s got to go in there and take a hat from somebody,” Buckner said. “And those guys got to fight like hell to keep their hat. All in all, it’s going to make us a better room because there is no sleeping on your laurels now.”
Buckner has known of Nkemdiche since Nkemdiche was in high school in the Atlanta area.
