The Arizona Cardinals are adding free agent cornerback Mike Jenkins to their roster just before training camp begins, according to a report by USA TODAY Sports' Luke Easterling.
Per Fox Sports 910's Mike Jurecki, the deal is still pending a physical.
The addition of Jenkins would be an insurance policy of sorts at the cornerback position opposite Patrick Peterson.
Arizona also has Justin Bethel, more known for his special teams prowess, and third-round pick Brandon Williams, a converted running back.
Elie Bouka, Cariel Brooks, Carrington Byndom, Trevon Hartfield, Asa Jackson, Harlan Miller, Shaun Prater and Ronald Zamort are the other cornerbacks on the Cardinals' roster.
