Report: Cardinals tackle Massie suspended 3 games

Cardinals starting right tackle Bobby Massie is appealing the NFL’s decision to suspend him for three games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the story Tuesday morning, and an NFL source confirmed that Massie is appealing.

If suspended, Massie will be able to continue to practice with the team through the preseason but would miss games against the Saints, Bears and 49ers.

Massie established himself as a starter last year and is due to be an unrestricted free agent after the season. There are three potential candidates to replace Massie: Bradley Sowell, Earl Watford and D.
