The Cardinals have finished their virtual offseason, at least as it relates to their veteran players.
According a report by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, coach Kliff Kingsbury has informed the team that veteran players are excused from all virtual team meetings until the Cardinals report to training camp later this summer.
Cardinals rookies, however, are still required to participate in virtual meetings for the time being, Rapaport added. The NFL notified teams recently that no in-person minicamps will be held in June and that the virtual period for offseason work will be extended through June 26.
The Cardinals join a handful of other teams, including the Bears and Titans, who have ended offseason virtual work early for veteran players.
