Before he signed a two-year, $50 million deal in March 2018 to stay in New Orleans, Saints quarterback Drew Brees was offered a two-year deal worth $60 million to join the Cardinals.
That’s what is being reported by ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler, who mentioned the offer by Arizona in a piece they co-wrote about the expected upcoming quarterback carousal as the NFL gets ready to hit free-agency season.
Brees, 41, is expected to sign a new deal with New Orleans before the March 18 start of the new league year. He recently pledged he would be returning to the Saints again in 2020 and would not be entertaining any offers from other teams.
