Patrick Peterson didn’t want to make excuses for his poor play early last season. But the Cardinals cornerback said on Monday he feels dramatically better, faster and leaner than he did a year ago.
The main reason is that Peterson has his diabetes under control.
“I definitely have my diet under control,” he said. “I had Type 1 so it was reversible and as of right now, I’m diabetes free. I still have to make sure I watch what I eat, my sugar level, my blood pressure and things like that.
“It’s a big step, especially when you are first finding out about something like that.
