Football coaches typically hate revealing strategy, but it’s no secret how the Cardinals are going to use cornerback Patrick Peterson each week.
He’s going to defend the No. 1 receiver for almost the entire game. That means on Sunday he’ll face Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs, who has 61 receptions this season, including 13 in each of the past two games.
It’s the first time in NFL history a player has had at least 13 receptions in consecutive games.
“I’m going to have my hands full, as always,” Peterson said. “He’s a scrappy receiver. He doesn’t look fast on film but he has very, very good speed once you line up in front of him.
