Josh McCown, who announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, played for 10 pro football teams over 17 years, and nearly everyone he has come across has an anecdote that illustrates the type of person McCown is.
Here is my favorite:
It’s 2010 and McCown was trying to hang on to a football career that looked like it might be over. So he signed with the Hartford Colonials who played in something called the United Football League.
Less than two weeks later, McCown received a text message from his agent, Mike McCartney.
