Like every rookie, quarterback Josh McCown dreamed of having a long, fruitful career when the Cardinals drafted him in the third round of 2002.
What he didn’t envision, however, was the nomadic journey he’s taken over the past 13 years. From Arizona to Detroit to Oakland to Carolina to Chicago to Tampa Bay, and this year, to Cleveland.
He also spent time with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League.
“I definitely feel like I had a goal in mind to play this long,” McCown said during a conference call on Wednesday with Arizona reporters.
