Latest Cards cuts: Running backs reportedly released

The Arizona Cardinals have not yet announced their final cuts to get down to the active 53-man roster by Saturday’s 1 p.m. (Arizona) deadline.

However, according to a report by ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the team apparently has released running backs Paul Lasike and Robert Hughes. Anderson made the mention on her Twitter account, @JosinaAnderson.

If the report is accurate, it would seem to be good news for both Kerwynn Williams and Stepfan Taylor, two other running backs who were perceived to be on the bubble.

The Cardinals presently have 75 players on their roster, meaning 22 players must be released.
