Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday he is "hopeful that (quarterback Kyler Murray) can be in a position to play and do what he does" this Sunday against the Rams.
Murray injured his leg with less than 20 seconds left in Saturday's 20-12 loss to the 49ers. Kingsbury called it a "lower leg" injury on Monday.
"We'll see how he feels," Kingsbury said. "We're not going to put him out there if he can't play at a high level and doesn't feel safe to play. We'll just have to see how he progresses."
Murray was able to walk off the field, but was down for an extended period of time after he was hit by 49ers defensive lineman Alex Barrett.
