He was the number one pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. However that doesn’t guarantee anything. For the Arizona Cardinals, it would seem as if they made the right choice in quarterback Kyler Murray.
Murray has won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He had very stiff competition. He ended the season with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Of his 12 interceptions, 7 of them came in December. Still, he threw for 3,722-yards on the season.
His main competition was from Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs though missed the last few games with an injury, likely taking the award away from him.
